The idea of the Pre-historic Age can be quite fun. No wonder men often fancy themselves to be strong and heroic brutes, either when they play at being Roman gladiators, cavemen and explorers, medieval knights, or even just Tarzan, king of the jungle. There are two roads you can take in portraying Barney Rubble. You can go with the simpler day to day Barney look, or you can roll with the more snazzy deluxe costume. In the regular Barney Rubble costumes, you get a simple brown polyester tunic with tattered edges and black cross stitches just like what you see in the television series.

But if you choose the deluxe kind, you get a black or dark brown coat with a collar and faux fur cuffs, along with a Barney Rubble mask. Other necessary items you may want to go with your costume are a blond wig and caveman feet slippers. In adults the chest and waist of the coast usually measure 50-54 inches, and the length is 41 inches.

There’s a costume available for both adults and children, and even for plus-size individuals. All the costumes you get are easy to take care of and store and are hand-washable.The Barney Rubble costumes are extremely easy costumes to accessorize and have great fun with simply because they are relatable since the Flintstones was part of many fond childhood memories of most adults and is still a part of the childhood of many of our children.

Whichever way you choose to take the Flintstones route –whether you go at it as a single Barney Rubble, a best buddy outing with your best friend in a Fred Flintstone suit, a couple’s Halloween with your wife or girlfriend as Betty Rubble, with your kids dressed up as Pebbles and Bam Bam, or as a group reliving childhood days in the prehistoric time, just be sure to have fun with your characters on Halloween and like Barney, don’t take yourself too seriously. Decades have passed since the Flintstones dominated national television and more high-definition animated shows were created after it but the ingenuity of the life show brought by Fred, Wilma, Pebbles, Betty, and Barney still remains unmatched.

This Halloween, celebrate this classic family by venturing out as a Flintstone character, or better yet, rally your friends or family around and go out as the Flintstones.
